25 women have been selected for the training sessions in which experts impart lessons on business management, marketing-branding strategy, handling finances, attracting investments, credit management and procuring business loans.
In the second session, founders of Digital Accounting Club- CA Kunal Kumar and CA Peter Richard threw light on various aspects including- basic planning, tailoring budgets, low risk investment options, government schemes, application processes for GST registration, income tax returns, legal matters, managing income, expenses and savings.
Under the Faraal Sakhi initiative, the MBMC not only trained and encouraged them to manufacture various types of snacks in a commercial manner, but also set up a mechanism for branding and selling the products.
The initiative received an overwhelming response as more than 3 tons of snacks were sold during the festive season of Diwali. “Faraal Sakhi will be developed into a comprehensive brand which will generate self-employment opportunities for women.” said Katkar.
