In a bid to give an exposure to the budding talents, the MBMC had invited well known personalities from the entertainment industry including- producers, show organisers and studio owners to grace the event.
Impressed by her enchanting presentation, Priti was selected as one of the lavni dancers to perform in “Rangbaazi” – a popular folk-art dance show featuring an array of stars including- actress Megha Ghadge who is also known as the “Lavni Queen” of Maharashtra, “Lavani Samrat” Ashmikk Kamthe and Ambika Poojari. The show was held at the Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium in Kashimira last week.
“From dancing and singing to playing musical instruments, there are several municipal school students like Priti who have the ability to leave a mark in various fields. Since most belong to the lower economic strata of the society, their potential remains untapped. We are taking steps to unleash hidden talents and creativity in students.” said municipal commissioner- Sanjay Katkar who thanked Pramod Patil of Spandan Creators who is the producer of the show for recognising Priti’s talent and giving her an opportunity to be part of his dance troupe.
Notably, despite being down with high fever, Priti did not back out and continued with her regular dance practice in school and excelled on stage with her captivating performance. Megha Ghadge blessed Priti while wishing her endless success and happiness in all her future endeavours.
